Trial Lawyers Help with Safe Routes to School Event :
May 2 2010
Doug Aholt notes: Please enjoy these photos from the Safe Routes to School event sponsored by the DeKalb Bar Trial Lawyers Section on May 2. It was a lot of fun and all of the kids and parents who attended were very appreciative. There were more than 50 kids who went through the program of education and bike inspection. The Safe Routes and SafeKids organizations were very grateful for the financial support that we provided.
Plans are in the works for the TLA to sponsor and support a car seat safety event in September, so stay tuned for details!

In addition to modifying the present law, the Trial Lawyers Section intends to sponsor a number of community activities this year that will promote helmet usage.

DeKalb Trial Lawyers Meet with Legislators:
March 27 2006
On Monday, March 27, a group of lawyers from the DeKalb Bar Association Trial Lawyers Section visited the state capitol. The group met as many members of the DeKalb delegation in the House and Senate as they could. Primarily, the attorneys simply thanked the legislators for all of their work. The attorneys also offered to help at any town meeting the legislators call by staffing tables to answer questions constituents might have about simple legal issues, such as wills, probate, or insurance questions.
