Monthly Luncheon: New RSVP
and Check-in Procedures

These new procedures are an effort to reduce check-in lines and to save money because we have to pay extra when turnout exceeds the number we predicted in advance. And, of course, nobody likes standing around with plate in hand while tables are set up and forks are found.

1. Notification– Through the newsletter and through e-mail you will learn where and when our luncheons are being held (usually the third Thursday of the month).

2. RSVP – Let us know, by noon on the Monday before the luncheon, if you will be attending the meeting. Please use one of the following methods: on the News or Calendar pages of the web-site (this is the preferred method); e-mail to execdir@dekalbbar.org or, call the bar office at 404-373-2580 and leave a message.

3. Information – When you RSVP, include the names of everyone for whom you are making a reservation. How your name is entered on the on-line RSVP system is how your name tag will be printed.

4. Lunch – Lunch is $5 for members who RSVP by noon on the Monday before the luncheon. Other attendees and members who fail to RSVP on time will pay a fee: $15 for members who do not RSVP; $20 for all nonmembers/ guests. These fees are based on the extra charge the DBA must pay when we add seats above our initial reservation.

5. Bypass Check-in – Everyone who RSVPs by noon on the Monday before the luncheon will be able to bypass check-in by simply picking up your pre-printed name tag, which will serve as your entrance pass to the lunch.

6. Check-in Stations – There will be two check-in stations where DBA board members will check in members who failed to RSVP or who are bringing a guest.

7. Ask the Executive Director – Available to answer your questions, take new membership applications, and help with any issue that takes a little extra time.

8. Greeting Committee – When you enter the banquet room, members of the DBA board will be available to greet you and receive any comments you want to make.

9. Patience – Your patience with us is always appreciated.
